Alpinisme.camptocamp.com is an interactive site for anyone practicing alpinism at any level. It provides the following services:

• An Interactive Topo-guide of routes in the whole world. Mountaineers can consult the original routes and the most recent mountain conditions. They can also add information (new routes, change in conditions) and let the community benefit from their experience.
  
• The discussion forums classified by topic, where anyone ask questions, give answers, or simply share their feelings with other fans of the vertical dimension.

• A growing collection ofarticles devoted to the various aspects mountain sports..
  
• Directories based on subject (clubs, refuges, trade, professionals...). These directories are completely interactive. Anyone can add new elements.
  
• Services. Here you will find a schedule of mountain related events and a list of available internships. This information is also provided by the community.
  
• Photo album, where everyone can put their best on-line mountain photographs. It is also possible to link these photographs with routes described in the interactive topo-guide.
  
• Links classified by topics towards other sites which may be useful.
  
• Some addition tools for the preparation of the climbs: On-line Nivotest (evaluation of the danger) and consultation of the topographic map (not available everywhere).
  

Consulting all these services is free of charge and anonymous. Registration (also free) is required to be able to add elements (outings to the topo-guide, photographs, information to the directories and services...). This registration also provides access to additional services in the Member area.
